Granville Mill Revival

This 1908 textile mill was basically left to rot for decades - pigeons had taken over, walls were crumbling, you name it. We spent two years bringing her back, keeping the original timber framing and brick facade while installing modern systems that actually work. Now it's a mixed-use space with offices, artists' studios, and a coffee roastery that makes the whole block smell amazing.

Pacific Tech Campus

Burnaby, BC

Client wanted a corporate campus that didn't feel like a soul-crushing office park. We designed three interconnected buildings around a central green space, using cross-laminated timber for the main structure. Turns out wood and glass work pretty well together - who knew? The whole complex runs on geothermal heating and cooling, plus there's enough solar panels on the roof to power a small town.

Strathcona Station Hub

Edmonton, AB

Old railway station from the 1920s that'd been sitting empty since the 80s. City wanted to tear it down, but we convinced 'em it was worth saving. Took some serious detective work to figure out the original construction methods - those old builders didn't exactly leave instruction manuals. Now it's a community center with a library, event space, and a museum showcasing the railway history. The ticket windows are still there, which is pretty cool.

Master Planning Project

We're working on a 12-acre waterfront site that used to be industrial storage yards. The plan includes housing (finally!), commercial spaces, public plazas, and a bunch of green corridors. Everything's designed around public transit access and walkability - because honestly, we've got enough cars already. Target's to have the first phase done by late 2026.

Iron Works Lofts

Hamilton, ON

Former steel foundry that'd been abandoned for 40 years. Place was a mess - contaminated soil, structural damage, the works. We remediated the site, kept the massive steel trusses and crane rails as design features, and converted it into 45 residential lofts. Those 20-foot ceilings make for some pretty dramatic living spaces.

St. Andrews Cultural Centre

Victoria, BC

Beautiful old church from 1889 that'd been empty for years after the congregation moved. Converting religious buildings is always tricky - gotta respect the history while making it functional for something totally different. We turned it into a performing arts venue and community center. The acoustics were already incredible (obviously), so that part was easy. Added modern amenities without messing with the stained glass or the original timber ceiling. The pipe organ still works, too.

Green Spine District Plan

Surrey, BC

Master plan for a 25-block district that connects three neighborhoods with a continuous green corridor. We worked with the city to rezone industrial areas for mixed-use development while preserving existing affordable housing. The "spine" includes bike paths, rain gardens, and public plazas every few blocks. Implementation's gonna take 10-15 years, but the first section opened last year and it's already changed how people move through the area.
